Vehicle Description
For sale is a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS with the 2ZZ engine. Despite more than 260k miles on the odometer, the engine, transmission, clutch, and the entire drivetrain are solid. It's up to date on maintenance with rear brake pads, air filters, and serpentine belt done in 2019, and a new battery and alternator earlier in 2020.
It has the usual, mostly cosmetic issues for a 17 year old car: The AC is not working, there is a small dent in the drivers side front quarter panel, and the paint is faded on the hood and roof. Front and rear bumper have collected a few dings and scratches over many years of parking on city streets. The cargo area has some scuff and scratches, but the touching points such as seats, steering wheel, shifter etc. are in good shape. The CD player head unit has been updated with and aftermarket one that has USB and AUX inputs, everything else on the car is original.
The passenger side quarter glass is cracked (right now it's covered in black vinyl to avoid further damage), and I've been quoted $250 for a replacement. I can take the $250 off the price or have it replaced before the sale, your choice.
The car comes with summer tires (50% tread left) on alloys, a set of snow tires (90% tread left) on steel rims with a full set of snow chains, and the original spare. For hauling toys, there is a Yakima roof rack, and a trailer hitch for bikes (bike rack not included).
Priced at Kelly Blue Book "fair condition" to account for the cosmetic condition and AC.
Just smogged and registered until Nov 2021, and ready for new owner.
