I’m finally letting go of my Toyota Prius
I’m sad to see her go! I took it on so many wonderful road trips and got to experience many places, and always got there as smoothly as ever, the price of gas didn’t hurt too much either!
Recently, one of the hybrid batteries went bad, and I’m moving very soon so all of my funds are going towards that, and I will not need a car immediately once I move. I am moving to Texas, and was relying on driving this car to move, and don’t feel safe making that trek with a faulty battery.
The shop I took it to took apart the battery itself and tried three times to replace individuals cells inside the battery with no luck but it was worth a shot for a much cheaper fix!
It turns out it needs a new replacement altogether unfortunately. (I can send photos of the progress upon taking apart the battery if anyone is curious)
The shop did not explain that there were any further problems other than a battery replacement
The car still drives, just relying mostly on the gas engine it seems like.
It’s a wonderful car, I’ll miss it very much!
