2004 Camry Solara SLE
165000 miles. These miles will not go up, I purchased a new car.
Pros:
- Camry, so very reliable.
- No trans or engine issues. Rock solid as always I've never had a problem.
- Car has always been well taken care of per the manufacturers maintenance schedule.
- Recently replaced exhaust system. Old one had leaks due to rust from the winters here. I replaced everything with OEM stainless steel equivalents to protect from future issues.
- I put new wheels and grippier tires on it recently. They are practically new with 75% treads. I have the stock wheels I use for the winter with even newer tires that you can have.
Cons:
- Power steering is leaking minorly. It is likely the rack and pinion. That part is about 300 and YouTube mechanics can handle this job at home. However, I've knocked about 1000 off the KBB value to accommodate.
- Paint is a bit worn here and there after 16 years. The worst is the rear bumper due to parking in the city. I wrapped it in Gorilla tape to protect it best I could. Tape can be take off easily to repair if need be. Otherwise bumper is functionally sound and is not dependent on the tape to stay on.
