It is a 17 year old car and some things have gone out along the way, almost all of them replaced, alongside all other scheduled maintenance. This vehicle has been in no significant accidents of any kind. The AC/Heat works very well, engine still feels very strong, and the transmission feels like it is still operating very well.
I've redone/replaced/repaired as needed the following:
- Stereo
- Radiator
- Rear end
- Tires/Brakes/etc
- Spark plugs and cables
- Battery
- Belts (Fan/Other)
- Headliner
- Shocks
- AC/Heat system (some components replaced/repaired)
- and other misc. items as needed
Now the stuff that is wrong:
- There is some lifter tap in the engine. After a recent service with a tech we've been using for a long time, I was informed there is not much to do about this but it doesn't mean the engine is about to blow or anything like that. It still feels very strong when driving with no loss of power or any noticeable difference from before the tapping began. There is still a fair amount of life left in the engine but it will eventually need work or replacement. These engines have been known to go 270k+ miles.
- There is a very small oil leak at the rear main seal. We have upped the viscosity in the oil to slow this leak. The part is cheap but the labor to fix this issue is expensive so I have not done it. It does not affect the vehicles performance in any drastic way but you do need to remember to top the oil off.
- Some of the connectivity for the controls on the steering wheel has gone out and has not been fixed.
- There is general wear and tear through out the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Driver side back door exterior handle is broken
- Aftermarket 6 CD changer under the back seat is not connected to power or stereo. I never did it, it should still be functional
