The good:
~40K tires with only about 200 miles driven - warranty will transfer (Tire size: 245/75R16)

~Recent repair on recalled fuel straps and dealership inspection
The bad:
~Will need to be towed - backstory on that below
~Manifold exhaust leak (until a few days ago, this was our chief complaint)
~Heater blower only works on high
~Tie Rod repair recommended to cure a knock in steering
~4WD shifter is frozen so the truck is stuck in 2WD
~Other minor repairs: fluid flushes, belt, etc - we will give you the dealer's list of repairs and the estimated costs
We got this truck a couple months ago, replaced the tires and leaking windshield while making a list of mechanical problems and took it to the dealership for estimate so we could prioritize repairs. They kept it for a few days to do the fuel tank straps which were covered under recall. We got an estimate for everything else with assurances the truck was safe to drive. Within 10 miles running errands in town and about 1 hour after picking up the truck, the transmission started "racing" and then I temporarily lost reverse at the grocery store. We added transission oil which was surprisingly low since it had just left a dealership inspection, brought the fluid to the correct level and there was no improvement - still had transmission racing and drove it home. backing it into our driveway it stopped giving reverse again, made racing sounds and refused to move in reverse. My husband pushed it into the driveway and I set it to Park but it wants to roll away with a mild grinding noise. We have no proof the dealership messed up nor do we feel like pursuing it if they did. But it was riding nicely up until a few days ago and we had seen/heard no trasmission symptoms prior to the inspection. Now, clearly something pretty pretty significant is going on with the trasmission system. There is no evidence of leaking transmission fluid or any other fluids for that matter. If you know what you're doing and you have more patience for Fords than I do, this will be a sweet truck after a little mechanical TLC. I really enjoyed driving it but we need a more "dependable NOW" vehicle due to scheduling demands.
We've already gotten a replacement vehicle so I would like to get this one out of my driveway soon - open to offers. I will also include a Free car wash coupon that was given to us by the dealer that I had no time to use. Please message me for questions or details I may have missed.
