This is the last year Audi offered the bulletproof 1.8t motor. Solid car mechanically, MN winters have been catching up with it recently.
Things needing attention:
Both front fenders are in need of replacing, rust has taken over.
Headliner sags in the rear hatch area
Passenger side front wheel bearing need to be replaced
Center support bearing needs to be replaced
On cold days, when the turn signal auto cancels from a right turn, it signals the left hand turn
The radio head unit recently started showing a line through the lower portion of the display
The rear hatch tint has damage (pictured)
The rear bumper has damage (pictured)
The front bumper was backed into by a truck with a hitch and punched a hole through (pictured)
The battery tray cover is missing, the car never came with one when purchased 7 years ago
CEL is currently on because the SAI is unplugged
Driver sun visor clip is broken
The home-link module is not functional (garage door opener in visor)
The glove box hinge is broken, typical for B6s
Headlamps - one halogen housing and one Xenon housing
Traction control will sometimes disable itself over larger impacts or bumps
ST coils could use a rebuild, they are loud on some drives
The alarm randomly goes off. VCDS logs a rear window breakage sensor trips it
Timing belt snapped at 162k - has been repaired with 20k on work.
Steering rack leaks
The good:
Timing belt, water pump, accessory belt pulleys and everything else worth doing at the time was done at 162k
Fully rebuilt AMB head
