For sale 2005 dodge 2500 short box (6.5 foot bed) diesel pick-up charcoal grey in color. This has been just a 2 owner pick-up, bought new in 2005 and I have owned it since 2013. Beautiful pick-up with all the good stuff it has been my passion for several years! All maintenance and parts receipts available.
It has a Superlift six inch lift with a T-Rex long arm kit and new shocks
35x12.50x17 Open Range All Terrain on 17 inch custom powder coated wheels.
After market steel reciever Ranch Hand Bumpers front and back with Bed Liner Spray
Off road lights, Fog lights
New LED Headlights and Taillights
Interior is in Great condition with no damage, (no tears) to the cloth seats which are covered with Neoprene seat covers
Weather Tech floor liners front/rear
Raised canopy/topper that locks
Spray in bed liner, bed mat, painted flares, pro-flaps, custom bed liner, sprayed aluminum running boards
5 inch Magna-Flow exhaust
It is an SLT interior package with power everything. All front end parts new(ball joints-t-rod ends knuckle u-joints, track bar bushings,etc..) new U-Joints through drive train.
New brakes, (drilled/slotted rotors. Digital brake controller.
New (rebuilt, under warranty Jasper Transfer case, (chain stretched in the old one so it made sense to replace it)
Transmission is an auto built by DTT in Canada with billet torque converter and will handle 600 hp and 1500 ft lbs. of torque.
Transmission was serviced, (flushed and refilled) last year
Motor is stock with the exception of a Banks Six Gun bundle with speed loader.
Engine has 254,000 miles with perfect service record and runs excellent.
I run full synthetic oil designed for Diesel motors (bought in NAPA)
I bought this in 2013 to first carry an Arctic Fox cab over camper and then to pull a 24 foot travel trailer. I made 4 trips total back and forth to Texas with both campers.
To help with the load, I installed 3500lb helper springs and later installed Timbren suspension for a 6500lb load carrying increase. I barely exceeded the first weight.
Wired for an in bed pop-up/ or regular slide-in camper with the required tie down points installed.
I average 20-23 MPG City/HWY and daily driving and while we carried the Arctic Fox Camper, (3800 pounds dry weight), the mileage only dropped to 14 mpg
for carrying a full load
Cons- The A/C “blend door” motor, (up behind the passenger side of the dash board) needs to be replaced to have the A/C function correctly
Driver side rear passenger door lock is not automatic, (manual only), remaining 3 doors function correctly
Body is in great condition but the truck is 14 years old so it has some minor flaws in the paint but nothing bad
The batteries are 6 years old, so they are due to be replaced in the near future
This truck is Awesome, selling only to downsize to a smaller vehicle for my wife and I. There is plenty of life and power left in this truck for some family to enjoy for many years. $15,500
