Vehicle Description
This vehicle has been meticulously maintained for the past 150,000 miles, of which almost all were highway (vehicle used for transportation to and from work). Oil changes every 3,000 miles, new tires every 2 seasons and wheel alignments when exchanged. Since purchasing from the previous owner, the only replacement parts needed have been a rear wheel bearing, struts and most recently the driver side axle. There has not been a snowfall that proved to be too much for this car, and it is a very clean and comfortable driving machine.
Full transparency, all mechanical issues are outlined below, none of which leave it inoperable.
- Passenger side axle should be replaced within the next couple hundred miles. The part cost $70 and installation takes about an hour, so ~$170 (most mechanics get $99/hour) in total to replace
- The ABS light remains on after changing the rear wheel bearing 3 years ago, but has not affected the ABS system and continues to pass inspection.
- This vehicle has emits a vibration when cornering that has existed since it was purchased new in 2005. It has been inspected and cleared, and has never increased in intensity or frequency.
- Slight cosmetic imperfections including 2 dents on the side panels and a bit of fading paint.
Given all of that information, this vehicle Kelly Blue Books between $2,400 and $3,800.
Included with the vehicle are a pair of rear rotors, 4 sets of brake pads and accompanying hardware. I was going to replace all of these parts after this winter was over but have decided against it. The current braking system still works fine.
