Used 2005 Subaru Outback XT 5k OBO: Open to Trades - - by for sale in Snohomish, WA
Vehicle Description
Well folks, here is your chance to own this somewhat, not really, rare variant of an Outback. It is an Outback XT Limited with a 5 speed. This car has been an absolute blast to own and has never left me stranded. Car currently has a clean title, along with a book of receipts that can be included if desired; most of the maintenance/mods were done by my roommate who is a Subaru tech. The car has been super reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a long drive tomorrow. With that being said, the car has a few issues as it current sits. Here is the breakdown:
THE GOOD:
-Lowered on BC Racing coiliovers (extreme low variant) so you could slam it on its frame if your heart so desired. They have 30 dampening and are in great shape. I believe the spring rates are 10k front and rear
-Cobb access port V3; off the shelf stage two map
-Nameless performance muffler delete
-Invidia catless downpipe
-Cobb shift knob; Kartboy short-shifter
-Megan Racing rear arms
-Mishimoto radiator
-Cobb cold air intake
-Aftermarket radio installed in glove box (see picture)
-Relatively clean interior for being a 2005
-Just serviced
-No leaks; mechanical or interior
THE BAD:
-Driver-side rear door handle is broken (has to be opened from the inside by reaching back from the front)
-Dual-zone climate control has an issue where the passenger side doesn’t have heat. I think there may be a clog in one of the lines as the blend door is still functional
-Steering wheel leather is peeling off as well as a section of the dash where the previous owner Yeet’d his navigation unit off
-Does consume oil. I check it about every 600 or so miles just to keep it topped off.
-Driver seat doesn’t move forward and the seat heater will no longer heats your buns. I may be able to source an identical replacement seat for the right person
-Windshield is cracked
-Front portion of the sunroof doesn’t tilt up
-Paint is rough (see picture), looks to be bad paint from the factory coupled with years of baking in the California sun
-Passenger-side front wheel bearing is going bad; sounds like an off-road tire at higher speeds
-Sadly, no key-fob. I have both keys but the fobs have stopped working
All in all, the car has its issues but it has been my daily-driver since I bought it in 2015 and I have done my best to take care of it. Car has 177k miles and won’t go up as it has been replaced. Will come on stock rims with winter tires.
Price is OBO and I am open to trades; I would consider a street bike or a jet ski. Preferably a Yamaha FZ/MT-09 +cash on my end on the happenstance someone was looking to trade one.
