Used 2005 VW Jetta GL for sale in Kent, WA

Vehicle Description

2005 Jetta with 111,140 miles. We are the second owners of the vehicle. My wife bought this car in high school with 10k miles on it. The dealership said the first owner was an older lady. but everyone says that. so who knows. I know what my wife drives like.lol. so needless to say, this car has been well taken care of. The majority of the miles on the vehicle are highway miles from Kent to Bellingham multiple times a week for 5 years, from Kent to Alberta 3 times, and many trips to the Oregon Coast and Vancouver area. The only city driving was in downtown Seattle for 5 years, but we rarely ever drove it except to leave the city for hiking or skiing. This vehicle has been VERY reliable, and has never been in an accident. We replaced the timing belt and water pump at 100k about 6 years ago (again. didn’t drive it much in the City). The vehicle has never died on us or failed to turn-over. Has the normal dings and scratches you’d expect of a car this age, but no cosmetic damage that’s an eye sore. We have used Royal Purple full synthetic for the last 8 years. This has helped to prevent a slow burn of oil that was present before. I always keep a quart of oil in the back just in case. hasn’t been an issue for a long time. The tires were replaced about 4 or 5 years ago, with 70k average life. Again, it only has about 10k on the tires so far, so plenty of life. One annoying thing, two of the tires have a slow leak for some random reason. so every year or so, once the air in the tires is about a quarter less, I’ve had to fill the two tires back up. Could actually use a tire rotation now that I’m thinking about it. Also, sometimes when getting on the highway, the car doesn’t shift up in gear for a split second. It’s happened like 5 or 6 times. Maybe would recommend a transmission flush and filter change? No idea, not an expert. And last thing. sometimes the remote for the car works to unlock the doors, sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t even bother with it, and just unlock with the key. The back passenger window was broken into a few years back because someone needed my jacket more than me. no other break-ins or serious incidents other than that. The only reason we got a new vehicle is because we got a puppy about 9 months ago and she is going to be a LARGE dog, so for that purpose, we got a larger vehicle. We also just don’t need two cars. So the Jetta has been sitting for the last 9 months, though I’ve driven it here and there around the neighborhood just to make sure it gets some attention. This Jetta truly is a great vehicle, and will give someone many years of quality reliable transportation. We are sad to finally see it go, but we really have no need for it anymore.
