No need to worry about rod bearings, vanos lines, etc. Factory faults have been corrected. Always run redline 5w50. I change the oil every 2500 miles.

I drive this car very often as it is VERY reliable, I've put about 7500 miles on it just this year alone. I've taken it to new Hampshire, upstate new york, Virginia, and many other places without any issues. It's the ultimate highway bomber.
Only mods other than the motor are a muffler delete, resonator delete, and twin walbro 255 fuel pump upgrade. Only reason for this is because bmw recommendeds replacing the pumps at 60k miles so I figured I would just upgrade them while I'm in there. The 60k service also called for fuel filter and mafs so I did those too. I am very big on preventative maintenance. I also did the diff fluid and a coolant flush.
Don't really need to sell the car, It has always been a dream car of mine. I have a new born now and priorities have shifted a little, an suv would be a little more convenient for me right now so that's the main reason for selling.
If you have been endlessly searching for a nice v10 m5 that won't leave you stranded with reliability issues, congrats, you found the one. I searched for over a year before I was able to find this gem.
