Used 2006 BMW M6, 40k miles, carbon roof, etc etc for sale in Stockton, MN

The short, for sale is my very low mileage and well-optioned BMW M6. The car only has just over 40,000 miles, Indianapolis red with black interior. Carbon roof, Logic 7 sound, Heads Up Display, DVD, Nav, heated seats, memory seats, etc etc. Car comes with two key fobs, all original booklets, manuals, and window sticker. Stickered for 107k in 2006, 120k+ in todays money. Car needs absolutely nothing but a new owner.

More info, the 2006 to 2010 BMW E63 M6 is quite a car. With V10 engine providing a clear link back to the BMW Sauber F1 lineage of the early 2000s; the technology present throughout the car is impressive still today, 9 years after the conclusion of the body style. The engine displaces 5 liters and produces 507hp when set to "M" mode. For daily zips to the office or grocery store you can leave it in its default mode and cruise around comfortably with about 400hp on tap.

BMW engineered a fantastic "SMG III" single clutch electro-hydraulic transmission and paired it with the engine for beautiful performance. You'll hear folks talk about "flappy paddles" and it's "not a real" manual transmission, but indeed it is. You command the shifts, you lift the throttle on upshifts, it'll blip the throttle for you on downshifts, it does precisely what you tell it to do. It's a great transmission and while I write here to convince you that it is a manual, it also has an "automatic" mode. The auto mode will engage the clutch and shift through the gears without driver input but it is not a precise or well timed as a skilled driver listening to the car, timing the shift, and driving the machine with attention. The SMG III transmission leverages technology from motorsport to effect manual transmission gear changes faster than a person. The shift speed and clutch engagement is user adjustable in 6 steps, for performance or comfort. In the softest setting it's very docile and smooth, almost too relaxed. While on the firmest setting it snicks into gear, eager to perform.

In 2007 a traditional 6speed three pedal manual transmission was offered to appease the alleged "North American purists" (The third pedal was never offered anywhere else in the world.). That manual transmission was borrowed from the 540i manual and never truly designed for the v10. Having the clutch pedal is nice but the gearing is not spot on in most people’s opinion. If you think you have to have a "third pedal manual" be sure to drive both before you buy. The BMW engineers knew what they wanted to accomplish when they paired the S85 V10 with the SMG III.

They were only offered in about 10 colors, and Indianapolis Red was the second or third least common. You won't see another one of these running around. The 19” wheels are specific to the M6, not just in their design but also in the backspacing. The rim width was varied to support the huge tires that get power to the ground. All four tires are recently new Continental DSWs. The interior is black, power seats, heated seats, the dash is equipped with a Heads Up Display for watching your speed an RPMs without looking down. Also has the factory carbon fiber roof and Logic 7 sound system, which are sought after.

I bought this car about three years ago. The extremely low mileage is what attracted me to it. As these cars do reach higher miles (90,000+) there are some expensive maintenance items that can pop up. In my opinion having a low mileage example like this one is very important.

The mechanics and electronics on this car are fully functional and in top shape. There are no check engine lights on, all modules work, the seats work, etc. A/c and heater both work. The car has never been in a wreck, etc.
