Used 2006 Honda Odyssey DVD Cold A/C Needs Transmission for sale in Gainesville, GA
Vehicle Description
We have owned the van for a little over two years. We are the second owners. It has always "lived" here in Georgia.
We bought it at 284,000 miles, and it has been great until recently. The transmission is going out, but otherwise it is in pretty good condition. Since we bought it two years ago, we have put a new timing belt on it, new tires, driver side CV axle, oil pan, had the transmission flushed twice, replaced spark plugs, replaced the front brakes, and had a valve adjustment, along with regular oil changes and tire rotations.
We just had the oil changed on 8/8/19. We have all service records to pass on to the next owner.
Here are the pros:
1. Good A/C and Heat
2. DVD player
3. AM/FM radio
4. CD player
5. Good tires and brakes (Goodyear tires are a little over a year old; front brakes were replaced in Oct '18.)
6. Sunroof
7. Leather seats
8. Automatic sliding doors
9. Very comfortable and roomy for families
The cons:
1. It usually drives well around town on short trips, but it has acted up a couple of times in the last few months on the interstate. At higher speeds, it started revving high and losing power. Since then, a check engine light has been coming on and going off sometimes. Our mechanic says it's a transmission code, so the transmission seems to be on the way out.
2. There is a slow oil leak. We just check the oil occasionally and add a little, if needed.
3. Of course, with a vehicle of this age/mileage, there is some wear and tear. The leather seats and arm rests are showing some holes/tears. The floor mats are stained. The outside has some dings. I've tried to show as much of that as possible in the pictures.
4. We don't live in an emissions-testing county, so we didn't do anything about this, but it shows a code for the catalytic converter occasionally.
5. I tried to restore the passenger side headlight with a kit from Walmart. It ended up clearer but "smeary." :-/
That's all I can think of. Price is only $1,200 (cash only), due to the issues we posted and the high miles. This is below the KBB value.
