Mechanically, it's fully stock except the exhaust (not sure what it is, came with the car) and a PTP turbo blanket.
I bought the car intending to build/tune it myself, but never had the time or money to do so. I put the gauges in to tune it, but never finished the project. Instead, I daily drove it for 6 years. It's been a highway warrior for most of its life, a bulk of my driving has been between West Lafayette, Indianapolis, and South Bend. The previous owner used it exclusively for driving to his son (between Chicago suburb and Cleveland).
I've had NO issues with the car outside of the usual random maintenance expected from a 15 year old car. I've done all oil changes myself every 3,000 miles with Rotella T6. I've taken great care of the car. I would love to build it myself, but still don't have the time or money and I'm moving. I won't be able to take it with me. My loss is your gain!
It has a rebuilt title, it was in a flood 10-12 years ago. The previous owner had the car for 4-5 years before me with zero issues, and I have had ZERO issues with the car. Everything works (including the skylight, heated seats, heated windshield, etc.) except the fog lights and the aftermarket oil pressure gauge.
It has an Innovate LC-2 O2 sensor with data logging (will include the cables and a Tactrix Openport 2.0 OBD reader/writer). The other two gauges are just for show (no data logging). I planned to get a good MAP sensor and tune off that, but never got around to it. I never took the time to tap into the oil line for the oil pressure gauge, but otherwise the gauge should work. The LC-2's O2 sensor only lasts for about 10k miles and is on its way out, but I made it easy to replace (and have done so twice myself).
I have NOT messed with the tune, it's still stock. I recently had the airbags replaced (recall) and the mechanic gave the car a clean bill of health, including no structural rust concerns.
The cons: the hood has some hail damage (sat under a tree and had some acorns fall on it).
The windshield has a crack in it (about 10 in). It was there when I bought the car and has NOT grown, at all, in the time I've owned it.
The front left and rear right wheel arches are starting to develop some cosmetic rust.
The driver seat is showing wear, but it has not significantly worsened in the time I've owned it (~30k miles).
The previous owner backed into a pole, so the rear bumper paint has some cracking in it.
The car also comes with 4 Maxxim Ahead wheels. They came from a previous WRX (this is my 4th), and I'm moving on from the cars so have no need for them anymore. The wear on those tires was NOT from this car, they came like that to me.
