Vehicle Description
I purchased the vehicle when it had around 206,000 miles on it.
This car has package #8.
It has a rear back up camera.
HV battery and 12v battery were replaced in 2015 by the previous owners.
I have been changing the oil and oil filter at intervals of 3,000 miles.
I've replaced both the cabin and engine air filters at 206,381 miles.
I've replaced the hubcaps on all wheels due to one missing and the rest of them being in poor condition.
I've also purchased a wheel cap with the toyota emblem on it because one of the wheels was missing one.
This car has a JBL premium audio system which I think sounds quite nice for its age as well as the wear on the car.
The car is in great condition mechanically I have dealt with any problems that arose.
I replaced the timing chain set which was said to be worn at around 209,000 miles. I also replaced the water pump and the spark plugs at this time.
There are some cosmetic issues on the exterior, the front bumper on the right side is dislodged a bit. It was estimated to be around $200-250 to replace the bracket by a mechanic. But if you were to fix it yourself, the bracket alone costs around $20.
There are some scuffs and dents on the car from its previous owners.
There was an incident where I parked my car out on the main road and people shot at the door with bb guns. My insurance fixed the damage, which was small dents on the driver side and a small hole in the hard plastic around the driver side window. The car was repainted so that side of the car looks new.
I have personally been handwashing the car every few weeks since I've owned it.
I have been averaging around 44mpg with the car which is pretty good considering its age.
The lowest mpg I got on a tank was 41, and the highest I got was 52. Depending on how you drive the car and the commute you have you can get a lot higher mpg. Considering the age of the vehicle, if you wanted to restore this car to get higher mpg I believe it could be worth it because new batteries and cleaning out certain sections of the car could yield great results. I hear from a lot of people in prius chat boasting very high numbers.
The car is capable of driving short distances on electric only when the battery level is charged high enough. Engine use and braking charges the battery.
There is a light on the display which is for the tire sensor, it has gone bad on one of the wheels. I check my tire pressure often so I haven't felt the need to replace it.
I have 2 sets of keys.
This was the first car that I have ever bought. I am selling this car because I would like to find something newer and ideally something faster.
