- All systems solid, no leaks, no issues impacting operation of the car, no mechanical issues and very minor cosmetic issues
Issues:
1) Telematics control switch -"Joystick" in console to operate the computer is not working - no impact to the operation of car $593 to replace
2) Some small scratches on front bumper touched up
3) Parking Brake switch replacement $129.78
2 warning lights on - but confirmed no underlying issue:
1) Tire Pressure Monitor is "on" but there is not a tire pressure issue - no repair needed unless you want the warning light to be off
2) Airbag for passenger side warning light is on. $350 spent to diagnose. The airbags are functional and work per design. The warning is on because the computer cannot turn off/on the airbag light on the roof panel of the car.
Has been maintained in Kailua Kona by Rags Automotive, and for the past 2 years by Kona European Auto Repair (highly recommended). Regular synthetic oil changes at Lex Brodie's. Repairs for BMWs are $$, so ideally you would be able to work on cars yourself to happily own this car !
