Used 2008 SAAB 9-5 Wagon 2.3 - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... for sale in Providence, RI

9-5 wagon, nearly 188,000 on the clock. Solid and fast, well-maintained. Greenish-grey.

Planned on keeping this one for a while, but we no longer need a third. I have an old SAAB I drive in the summer and we have another car, so this one has been bored. I've put about 10,000 miles on it over two years.

This car comes with 16" alloys shod in snows with decent tread, new (spring 2020) summer tires on 17" wheels, some extra bulbs and fuses, an OBDII reader (you just have to pair it with an app on your phone)... It's a GM SAAB starter kit.

I am the third owner; well maintained over the years, including critical subframe bushings and other suspension work from years past, receipts included. Feels tight and smooth on the road. Work done/parts replaced in the last two years: Refurbished driver's seatbelt, refurbished turbo, new power brake booster installed by CONNTECH SAAB in Warwick. New DIC, new air filter, new tires on 17" summer rims installed spring 2020.

The Good: Fast. Smooth. Fun on long drives especially.
Quiet with a nice exhaust burble when you step on it.
Fast.
Wicked heat seaters, good interior; leather seats in good shape and quite comfortable.
Fast.
Stereo sounds great, if you don't mind the AUX cable.

The Bad: Nothing terribly urgent, but full disclosure, in order of magnitude:
1. Intermittent CEL with code P110. Not sure what that means? Click here, it's not scary: 2. Tire Pressure System warning at start-up, even though all four tires are monitored. You will still get a warning if any of them go below recommended pressure, so I never got it fixed. Was like this when I purchased it. You can clear the warning in the information center at start-up.
3. Small spots of rust at usual spot on fenders/doglegs for these cars.
4. Small chips and scrapes here and there; spoiler lip has some rash, some curb rash on the wheels.
5. Shifter lightbulb needs replacing (gear indicator is on dash; I never bothered.)

Any major work done in the last two years carried out by CONNTECH SAAB, with receipts and a manila folder full of maintenance records. Previous owner had work done at Mecca Motors in Boston and other reputable independent shops focused on SAAB repair.
