The 2008 Subaru Outback is an amazing car that will get you anywhere. Very highly rated and reliable, taken care of and these cars will last you well over 300k miles. So currently sitting at 161,XXX miles, she’s just getting broken in!
The AWD system is outstanding and performs exceptionally well in the snow, all the electronics work, runs smooth with no mechanical issues, this car is in great shape.
Interior is in great condition, weather tech floor mats, folding rear seats with a large weather tech liner in the back that’s perfect for hauling gear, furniture, or anything else you may need, vehicle comes with a Yakima rack that is currently installed along with a canoe/kayak attachment that is currently on.
I am the second owner, I bought it from the original owner who was a sweet old Icelandic women who bought it brand new and babied it, so I continued on the trend. Working from home I didn’t drive it all that much for the time I had it.
Just a few cons to list are a small surface tear on the left side of the front drivers seat (pictured), a small windshield crack on the bottom left side (pictured), and then the heat blows strong and hot but the AC can be a little finicky and should just need a recharge I believe. It currently runs great and hasn’t given me any problems.
This has been an amazing car and if my fiancé and I weren’t moving across the country in a few weeks and only taking one car, I’d keep it forever!
