Used 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman (Wagon) for sale in Dix, IL
Vehicle Description
It is a little longer than the coupe, and has double doors in the rear and a short half door on the passenger side to get in and out of the rear seat. The interior is nice. There is a weird wrinkled place on the dash where my wife had her phone holder attached. Not cracked, just wrinkled. Shown in the photos.
We rarely ever carried anyone in the back, we are a retired couple. Most of the miles were highway miles when my wife was still working, or vacation miles.
We ordered it without run flat tires. They are regular 175-15" tires which means they are much cheaper and it comes with a spare. (only used once) It has had within the last 2 years a water pump (better quality aftermarket aluminum instead of factory plastic), a thermostat housing, and new brake pads all around.
It runs and drives great and the tires are about half life. We were about to go on a 3,700 mile trip a few weeks ago to Maine and decided to buy a Ford Fiesta with a warranty and more dealers for peace of mind. We have had this for 10 years now and it was time to replace it for our long trips.
It gets about 36mpg combined. It is a charcoal/ black interior and a pewter gray exterior with a black top.
It has a great CD radio/MP3 player without satellite.
The only bad is the rear sway bar bushings are worn out and it rattles on bumps. Mini wanted about $200 for that and I was going to do it myself, but haven't got around to it.
Once in awhile the check engine light will come on for awhile, then go out after days or weeks. We had mini fix it for $200 which consisted of resetting it after they couldn't find anything wrong with it, and it came back on, on the way home from St. Louis! We check the fluids and ignore it when it comes on. It has been off for awhile.
The tip of the short radio antenna just fell off sitting in the driveway. The rubber just fell apart, but it still works fine without it. The old one is included if you want to use it to show the counterman what you want to buy and just screw a new one back on.
It has 3 sets of keys. Came with 2 but one got lost in the yard somehow and we replaced it a year ago for big bucks and then found the old ones. The old ones will open and start and drive the car manually but nothing works by the remote on that set. Some good emergency keys.
Good original title in our name. We would like $7,000 but we might consider close offers.
