If you know what this car is, then there really isnt much to explain. But this thing truly is a treat to own and drive. The S65 V8 starts right up and screams past 8k rpms without a hiccup. This isnt anything like the current V8s offered by bmw. With its' high revving nature, this is purely a driver focused car. It has hydraulic steering and sharp throttle response, it is unlike any sports car offered today. Aside from the grunt this thing has, and it has plenty, it turns and stops on a dime.
This car is essentially FBO and has been tastefully modified. It has an upgraded megan racing muffler, with turner motorsports test pipes, and secondary cats deleted. It's also running a tune from RKtunes that really wakes the car up with maps for burble or no burble that can be easily flashed and will come with the car. I've put alot of time and energy into this can and tried to keep it in as pristine condition as possible. It has a ceramic coating freshly applied at the end of the summer. Given the cars rarity, especially a clean example like this one, and the current prices on these. Overall this car has been babied while also appreciating it for what it is.
To address the elephant in the room: Rod bearings and Throttle actuators. The previous owner did get multiple blackstone tests and they didn't indicate that the rod bearings were bad. The car starts up perfectly fine every time with no ticks or any signs of wear. But this is a topic of contention in the E9X M3 community. I was quoted 2300 to replace/upgrade the bearings and bolts by a local well known shop if this is something the next owner wants to tackle as a preventative maintenance item. As far as the throttle actuators. These don't go out until they go out and so far they are fine. I have been told by the previous owner that the owner before him may have gotten it replaced at around 50k miles but I don't really have any proof to back this up.
