Used 2010 VW GTI for sale in Saratoga Springs, NY
Vehicle Description
This was the first year of the 6th gen GTI:
- 2.0L turbo engine, 200 HP, 200 ft-lbs torque
- 6 speed manual transmission
- 31 mpg highway (although I routinely get higher)
- Tartan Plaid cloth interior
- Heated front seats with lumbar support
- Xenon HID headlights, LED taillights, fog lights. Xenon bulbs replaced in March.
- Bluetooth, 6 disc in-dash changer, SD card reader, USB + aux input
- Subwoofer and amp in custom trunk enclosure (removable)
- Trailer hitch receiver with light harness
I have taken great care of this car over the years. Oil changed every 5,000 miles, winter tires fitted every season and rotated. All service (except warranty work) was performed at a VW specialist mechanic. I have a PDF of every service record performed which I will provide to the new owner.
The car is in overall good condition:
- Engine starts and runs smoothly.
- Smooth clutch and transmission. Clutch replaced 11/2017 (I am always gentle on it).
- Battery replaced 11/2018.
- No check engine lights or fault codes.
- 16" alloy wheels in good shape. No major rash.
- The car has winter tires with approx 7/32" tread remaining.
- Brakes in good shape. Front pads and rotors were replaced in September.
- No electronic issues.
- AC and heat working properly.
- No glass chips or cracks.
- Seats and fabric are in great shape. No rips or tears, foam is supportive.
- Never smoked in.
A few exceptions worth noting:
- Exterior body condition is consistent with the age and mileage but I am not aware of any rust or peeling paint. There are a few areas that I repaired with touch up paint that are only noticeable up close.
- The headliner fabric is beginning to sag. I have installed trim pegs to hold it up in critical areas to stop the peeling and minimize the visibility of it.
I have the Carfax report available upon request. The clear NY title is in my name with no recorded liens. Serious buyers are welcome to come test drive it with a deposit. Thanks for looking!
