Used 2011 BMW X5M 4 4L Twin Turbo V8 for sale in Middletown, NY

For sale is my 2011 BMW X5M in Silverstone -II Metallic with a Black Perforated-Leather Interior. Its Legendary “s63” designation 4.4 Liter Twin Turbo V8 is mated to a lightning-fast 6 speed automatic transmission with steptronic AND steering wheel mounted paddles running through BMW’s first ever M-Xdrive system (Something that is becoming standard on all M-cars nearly a decade later)

This vehicle has been my daily driver for the last year, and has been nothing but reliable. It was purchased at a dealership in Maryland in March of 2020 with 69,000 miles and sits at just over 80,500 currently.

Full disclosure: I want to keep this vehicle, but my job requires me to travel to places that a car of this class should not be taken, and therefore I believe it deserves a better home.

A quick disclaimer before I proceed: Please do not respond to this listing with or send me Kelley Blue Book values. This vehicle, and M-cars of this era, are quickly becoming collector’s items, and have their own niche-market value to those of us that understand the significance of this car and those like it. I’m not here to convince you; the right buyer will present themselves. If you can find one cheaper or with fewer miles, by all means, buy that one.
This vehicle makes no excuses to anyone, as its power, driving dynamics, driving feel/feedback, and behaviors are so far beyond the “standard” of its time and even the present time. Its 555+ horsepower and 500+ pound-feet of torque from a manufacturer notorious for under-rating their engines on paper will embarrass nearly all mass-market production vehicles today; and it does it with proven-reliability. There is a reason that the s63 V8 is still used today in the M5, X5M, X6M, and all versions of the M8; it’s because it’s simply unrivaled and represents the absolute peak of what is possible with modern gas internal-combustion engine technology while adhering to ever-growing emissions standards.

As electric car dominance becomes ever-more present, so called “golden age of gas” vehicles like these are becoming highly sought-after. Vehicles like this X5M that lack the over-complication of today’s driver assistance systems, mild-hybridization systems, and technology, that when broken, totals these vehicles multiple times over are becoming harder and harder to find.

With this said, this in no way suggests that this 2011 X5M is at all “lacking” in any way.

This particular example has EVERY SINGLE factory option that was available when it was ordered; everything down to the unmarked upgraded audio system. Sticker price with options for this vehicle was over $111,000.00

This car has been meticulously maintained, and all of the recalls have been completed by BMW. The full service history can be provided and discussed upon request, but one very notable and welcome item is that the oil has been changed on average 3 times more often than what is recommended by BMW; as is evident by the service records. Major services have been done before what is recommended by BMW, ensuring less wear on vehicle systems. A recent major service includes: Engine oil, All 3 Rear Differential Oil Compartments, Transfer Case Fluid, Front Differential Oil, All 3 Cabin Air Filters, Engine Air Filters, 8 BMW-M OEM Spark Plugs, Rear Air Suspension Air Springs, and more. These items plus labor are valued at well over $2000.00; meaning 2 grand that YOU the buyer do not have to spend. New BMW Battery as of 4/14/21

Mods are simple: 2 Items - Gloss Black F85 Style Kidney Grilles, and a Custom Remote-Activated Electric Exhaust Cut-out, Giving you the option for both Factory Exhaust Modes, plus a "straight through" bypass mode with the cutouts opened. No tunes, no terrible suspension mods. The vehicle is stock otherwise.

I’m looking to get $21,500.00 or best reasonable offer. You’re getting a 6 figure vehicle for less than a quarter of the original sticker price. All things considered, there’s very little that a new X5M has that this particular example does not; making this an extraordinary value.

Do NOT offer me $20,000.00 or less, as that price range gets you a car with no options and 100k+ miles.

Disclaimer: This is not a museum piece, and has minimal blemishes in the paint and body as is typical with a well-kept car of this age. The previous owner was clearly not the best at parking, as the wheels have moderate rash; I had intended on getting aftermarket wheels, but opted out - If it's something that really bothers you, they can definitely be refinished. Additionally, this car had a buy-back-requiring manufacturing defect that was addressed by BMW North America Corporate when the vehicle was new; which I have the service bulletin for that can be explained in greater detail. No longer an issue, but in the effort of full disclosure, I’m making you aware. It was a common manufacturing defect with these E70's that was resolved based on the findings from THIS particular car, so future vehicles with the same problem were given the simple fix described in the bulletin. - It in NO WAY effects the car, it's ability to be financed, or it's ability to be insured. It is NOT and never has been a rebuilt or salvage vehicle.
