Vehicle Description
The first thing you need to know, is that the transmission is inoperable right now, thus the low low price. It will have to be towed.
KBB for the car is roughly $5000. A full rebuild from a transmission shop will run around $3000. $5000-$3000=$2000
It's pictured with a touchscreen headunit which will *NOT* be included in the sale.
This car has been my daily driver for three years, and has been very reliable and versatile. It got over $2500 in suspension fixes (balljoints, control arms, etc) when I first bought it. It also has a new radiator which sprung a leak after years of police abuse.
I even rebuilt the transmission once, and while I was in there, redid the entire timing system (chain, guides, and tensioners), as well as fixing a warped exhaust manifold.
I have reciepts for all the work.
It also has about 6k miles on a new set of Firestone Indy 500 summer performance tires.
Now tho, the transmission has started acting up again. It behaves as though it has a transbrake now, but you have no control over it. When in neutral or reverse it will *NOT* roll backward, even on a steep incline.
Frankly I would keep it and have the transmission rebuilt (again), but I'm actively trying to buy a house, and every dollar out is a dollar not used to buy the house.
With the transmission fixed I'd trust this thing to go anywhere in the continental US, no question.
The pictures include basically every blemish I can find, it's not perfect but built like a tank.
Drivers rear window does not operate, and the rear doors can not be opened from the inside, as is common with the police cars.
