WHY DO YOU HAVE THESE VEHICLES?
We are a tow company; these vehicles were abandoned by the previous owners for various reasons at our location. For either unable to cover their tow fees or unable to provide sufficient documentation showing they were the authorized owner.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT REGISTRATION WILL COST?
If you have questions about the registration on the vehicle you are welcome to visit the California DMV Registration Calculator. We have provided the website - The information that you need is the 5 digits of the vin# (which is in the photos attached to the craigslist ad) & the license plate # (which is in the photos attached to the craigslist ad)

WHAT IF THE VEHICLE IS FROM OUT OF STATE?
Then the fees that will be owed to the state is new registration and new plates. Those prices can be found on the California DMV website.
ARE THERE ANY IMPOUND OR LIEN FEES ATTACHED?
There are no impound fees or lien fees. The purchase price that we agree upon includes those fees. We do not add any other fee or costs.
DO YOU HAVE SERVICE HISTORY ON THE VEHICLE?
Unfortunately, we do not have any service history on the vehicle. As mentioned above we just tow the vehicle and then the vehicle is abandoned. We are just trying to recoup some of the service costs we have into the vehicle.
DO YOU SMOG THE VEHICLES OR KNOW IF THEY PASS SMOG?
We do not check the vehicles if they will pass smog. You are more than welcome to bring a scanner to see if all the monitors are set or if there are any codes present.
WHAT IF THE VEHICLE HAS ISSUES IN 2-4 MONTHS OF US OWNING IT?
The vehicles are sold as is, as mentioned above we do not know the history of the vehicle.
WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO DO WHEN I PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM YOU?
We always recommend getting an oil change. You are more than welcome to change all the other fluids as well to know what the life is of each.
ARE YOU BEING TRUTHFUL ABOUT KNOWN ISSUES WITH A VEHICLE?
Us here at Star towing want you to be happy with your purchase. Issues or concerns with a vehicle that we know about, we will let you know. If there are hidden issues and come up in a period of time, those we can not foresee. We here try to get each client in a vehicle within their budget.
