Used 2011 VW Jetta Wagon***Diesel*** - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... for sale in Duluth, MN

I bought this a bit over a year ago because at the time I was driving a lot for work, not as much now...so let me start off by saying I love this car and if I were a smaller guy I would most definitely keep it but it sits too low for my frame...that being said I would likely sit in the group of “motivated seller” however there’s a number I most definitely will not go below.

I hate when people try to sell things they know r garbage so I’ll do my best to b fully open about what I have here, however I’m a bit older so I’m not gonna b perfect in my details—also I’m not a car guy so this is going to b to the best of my knowledge...if u have a specific question, etc please let me know and I’ll do my best to find the answer.

That being said—Here’s what it is—-

Brown 2011 Diesel VW Jetta Wagon—-current mileage is 145,275 (pic to verify) which should stay relatively close til it’s sold (I’m not currently driving it)...it isn’t uncommon for these to go 300,000+ miles and one of the main reasons I bought it....Motor is a 1.6L (I’m pretty sure), 4 cylinder diesel with turbo (TDI)—-I love how fast this motor is and the tranny is awesome!!! I was averaging 27 mpg between highway and backroad driving.

The good—-

Tires have less than 3000 miles on them. (Bought at Christmas)

Oil changed today.(9/2020)

Brakes and rotors have less than 1500 miles on them.

Windshield replaced 2 months ago along with wiper motor and mechanics (long story but all replaced when windshield was done).

Passenger rear coil spring replaced 1500 miles ago when the brakes were done.

The bad—

A few cosmetic issues (mostly in pics)—the drivers door has a crunch in the corner of the door—I believe it was hitting the corner panel/fender somehow and bent back (think it was from me putting weight upon it but not positive—the door shows no other signs of defect such as wind leaks, etc.)...there r some slap marks from a ratchet strap slack on the roof when I was moving something...there is a circle something or other on the front bumper which is missing and has been since I bought it...the compartment between the seats doesn’t fully shut—-I haven’t figured out how to repair it so I’ve just lived thru it.

When I brought it in for the oil change (Kia of Duluth) informed me that the timing belt was due to be changed according to VW timelines (mechanic said it will b fine til it shows signs but said it is scheduled for repair at 130k miles—-approx. $1400 when the time comes) said the air filter could use replacement...also he said the driver side rear coil spring is broken (I had the passenger replaced about 3 months ago and would have had this one done at that time but was told by the person who did it that the drivers side was ok)—I paid $125 for the part from VW of Duluth—-Kia told me it would b $267 for part and labor...

The A/C doesn’t seem to work—-I would gamble it just needs the Freon recharged but when I was driving it most I didn’t have time to have it looked at so just rolled down the windows and I have barely driven this over the past 9 months so never thought about it to have it looked over...🤷‍♂️

Finally I noticed over the past couple weeks that when I leave the house after starting the car, on the first turn and only the first turn that it chugs a little, like it isn’t getting enough fuel or a steady stream of fuel...after I straighten out the car and start driving it all goes back to normal...my thoughts and again I’m not an expert but that it hasn’t fully warmed up or that there may b a little gumming up in the fuel....It only happens on the initial turn for the day and is gone relatively quickly.
To the best of my knowledge/memory that’s everything of note for the car...to me it’s a very good car—dependable, good mileage, affordable, strong, etc....if the circumstances were different I would most definitely keep it and if I can’t achieve the number I want for it I will keep it...🤷‍♂️...I’m in the process of moving and just trying to have less items in my life.

My price is in Cash only (no checks, promises, etc) if u r working an angle or scam—please save us both the time and wasted messaging because I will likely screw with u for a while before being overwhelmingly rude or simply block u to begin with...

That being said I am willing to come off my asking price a bit and will do a partial cash and partial trade if you have some of the items I am seeking...

Currently looking for—-gold/silver American Coinage (pre-1964, rounds, etc.), 18” gold rope chain/necklace (not plated, hollow,etc.—only seeking an actual stamped quality necklace), milwaukee cordless power tools with batteries, preferably newer—tested and proven working (specifically hackzall, grinder, band saw, radio, circular saw, oscillating multi-tool, jigsaw, or table saw), always interested in 2nd Amendment items, and I may b open to other items of “value” along with Higher Cash amount...

As I have stated I’m a motivated seller so I’m willing to b a bit more accepting of offers than I normally would b...and while I know a couple local dealers r selling these for below my price I would almost guarantee this one is in better shape because they are where I purchased this from to begin with and have put in the time, money, etc to make this a good, dependable car...
