Finally letting our beloved Scion IQ (Tonka) go. Scion is an arm of Toyota, incase you didn’t know. Tonka has been great to us for the last 10 years. It’s got the super reliable 1.3 L 4cyl Toyota Engine, automatic transmission with sport and eco mode. It’s front wheel drive, yes it has rear seats but for kids or pets.haha. It has power window and locks and factory remotes. Bluetooth factory Radio with control on steering wheel.
Originally it was a commuter, Long Island to Nj, then a station car since it takes up 1/2 a spot and now we don’t use it as much since we have two other cars and kids are older.
This would be a great city car for new driver, a couple or family with small (1-4 year old). Or even as a run around car for those who have a motorhome/RV. Front seats are roomy and headroom for up to 6 feet (brother is 6’1”). Fold the back seats and you have cargo space too! A/C and heat both work excellent. Gets 35-42mpg, goes into eco mode automatically at cruising speeds. It’s a fun little adult go cart/city car and starter car. The commuting racked up 170k highway miles but stills runs strong! Feel free to do a pre purchase inspection with your mechanic, nothing to hide.
Body is very clean, interior is ok, motor and tranny are in excellent shape. Better looking, more reliable and roomier than a smart car.
Insurance is very cheap ($47 a month), excellent on gas ($18 lasts 10-14 days), parks in any/every tight spot and only 1/2 price in Manhattan lots! They are such great cars that ASTON MARTIN actually bought a bunch, rebadged and sold them as the Cignet(last pic) Google it!
I am looking for a serious cash buyer to come take Tonka home: $5400 cash. Before you try to low ball, go ahead and find one cheaper.
