THE VEHICLE HISTORY:
I did extensive research on this vehicle prior to flying to Detroit to purchase it. I also researched the laws for obtaining a Rebuilt title in Michigan and Wisconsin as well as spoke with WI DMV (as I didn’t want to buy it and then not be able to title/register it in Wisconsin).
~~I have records from the previous owner and receipts from all services I had done to it. ~~
The party I bought the Explorer from purchased it from a shop near their residence (near Detroit) that specializes in rebuilding ONLY Explorers. They had it inspected by their local Ford dealer prior to purchase. They were given a report that the Explorer’s rebuild had been expertly completed. They had no problems during their 4 year ownership and would “keep the vehicle for another 50k if my wife was still able to drive”. (She was in her mid 40s).

The Explorer had 19k miles when they bought it in 2015.
It had 54k when I bought it from them last year.

I am selling it because my employer allowed me to start working from home and I do not need to commute anymore.

Additional info:
- I have purchased rebuilt vehicles for personal use in the past and have never had issues. I always double check that the rebuild was done by a reputable garage.

- I may consider partial trades for a portion of the selling price. I would consider an enclosed trailer, ‘98-‘03 Ford F-150 in good condition, a storage shed, hunting items, ATV, UTV, youth dirt bike, snowmobile, aluminum car trailer, aluminum utility trailer, possibly other items. **The trade item(s) would need to be in really good condition.

- In Michigan, after a vehicle titled with a salvage title has been repaired or rebuilt, it can be titled and registered for road use again. The vehicle must first pass an inspection by a specially-trained law enforcement officer. After the inspection, a new title is issued with the legend "REBUILT SALVAGE." This legend alerts future owners the vehicle was once "totaled" by an insurance company. A license plate can be issued when the "rebuilt" title application is processed.
