Used 2013 Mercedes SPRINTER Camper Van for sale in Newbury, MA
Vehicle Description
This van is a recent conversion, finished in December 2020. I have been living/adventuring full time in it since completing the build. Unfortunately, due to lifestyle and an employment changes it has become more practical for me to part ways with this beauty.
The van itself runs great and has been well maintained. It is the 170” wheelbase with the extra high roof. I am 6’1” and can comfortably stand inside.
It has been dealer serviced and inspected! It has relatively low miles for a diesel at only 73,000.
The cab has the basics; cruise control, AC, backup cam, dash cam.
The tires are Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure tires with approximately 10,000 miles on them.
The van does has some dings, mostly noticeable on the rear doors from the previous owner. These are purely aesthetic.
There are two minor issues with the van. the side door lock sensor is faulty. Sometimes the dash says the door is open when it is closed and the backup camera isnt working. Since these arent critical I havent repaired them. I’d figure that the next owner can tackle these if its important to them.
The Build:
The interior was self built by myself with help from friends/family using professional guides. Much of this build followed the faroutride.com van build guide.
The Interior Features:

Dual zone, recessed, dimmable LED lighting
Eberspacher S2-D2L Diesel heater with programmable thermostat.
21 Gallon Freshwater tank
5 Gallon Gray Water tank
Running water with electronic pump/accumulator
2 burner propane stove with a 20 lb propane tank.
Alpicool 50L Dual zone chest fridge/freezer
Maxx Air fan for ventilation
Nature’s head composting toilet
Fully Insulated! 1” foam floor insulation and 2”-4” of rock wool insulation on the sides and ceiling
Easy to clean vinyl plank flooring
Okoume Marine plywood walls
Baltic Birch cabinetry and seating
Black walnut counter tops
Lagun Swivel table which transforms the seating area into a second bed!
Electrical:
The electrical system was built following Will Prowse’s 400 watt Solar Package w alternator charging guide. Please google to read about this system. It features:
3 100Ah Renogy Deep cycle AGM batteries
400 watt solar panels mounted on the roof
2000 watt inverter
50 amp DC to DC charger with mppt
This system runs the lights, fridge, heater startup, charges laptops and phones and my blender no problem! It charges off of the solar and the alternator. I also installed a RV battery charger so the van can be plugged directly into grid with an extension cord. (I have never needed to do this even in the winter snow)
