it's with a heavy heart my spouse and i are selling our van, le reve (we're embarking on a different adventure of making a family and hoping will need three seat belts soon!). we'll be sad to see her go, but know someone will love her the way we did and take her lots of fun places.
fun fact! she's been to all 50 states (okay, well, not hawaii. but all the other ones!)
we built out le reve ourselves and you'll see, her set up is pretty straight forward. it was absolutely perfect for us and we lived in her full time for an entire year in 2016. we intentionally didn't build anything under the bed, and that has been awesome for toys. surf boards, skis, bikes, lots of wine all fits no problem and you can mix and match based on the current adventure. she's the 19 ft cargo high roof edition which is great because it fits in a standard parking spot. it has the backup camera package, and we put in two after market sunroofs and a swivel mechanism that makes the bucket seats turn 360 degrees. we've found the cargo van has been awesome for 'stealth' camping, especially with more and more people living in their vans. in 6 years we were never hassled on nights we needed to sleep in a parking lot or on the street. she has a way of being invisible, people thought we were plumbers or something, i think. if you're new to vanlife this was really helpful. it's super stressful to be bothered in the middle of the night.
we've been the only owners and there have been no accidents and there's been zero trouble throughout her life (we have the carfax). we had the oil changed regularly, the maintenance prepaid through 90,000 miles and the dealer did all the work.
