This is a well-kept classic! This car has been a restoration project for me during the COVID timeline. I have aimed to get this beauty back to full strength. I have records on $15k+ of work that has been done this summer/ fall (2020). Open to offers - but also hesitant to part with baby blue.

Just smogged in October and newly registered this month as well.

This is a 1991 SR5 4Runner with a new automatic transmission, and new 3.0 V6 engine. It has the highest optioned "Extra Value Package" (see end of ad for details), and a 4X4 drivetrain. As we went through this 4Runner - we replaced anything that needed to be.

This isn't a race car, the V6 is strong and puts along. Its a cruiser at highway speeds, and the perfect slow weekend-day car. Fun for adventuring with friends and family, your pets, or outdoor gear.

Warranties: There is a 3-year warranty on the engine, 6-month warranty on the transmission and 1-year warranty for the radiator.

I love these Toyotas (I have a '90 pickup, and '88 4Runner). They are smaller than modern SUVs, and thus more easily maneuverable, drivable, and fun. Their simplicity is part of their beauty, and their thoughtful engineering part of their timeless charm. They are easy to work on, with their parts being cheap and easy to find, whether online (see Roseville Toyota's online store) or in a scrap yard. These 90's Toyotas are known for being absolute tanks, even when running into the 500K mileage range and beyond. This engine has updated headgaskets (the old headgaskets were the weak point of the V6 engine).

Since the installation of the drivetrain and engine, the car has only been filled with synthetic fluids, and Premium gasoline.

A quick summary of preventative maintenance that was just done:
-New 3.0 V6 engine with 3 year warranty. Has updated head gaskets, valve covers, hoses, spark plugs, etc.
-New transmission w/ warranty
-Suspension fully replaced with 4 new German-made Bilstein shocks
-Custom adjustable air suspension lift in rear
-New ball joints
-New serpentine / timing belts (non-interference engine)
-New ignition wiring / engine wiring
-New BF Goodrich All-Terrain Tires
-New Mobil 1 synthetic oil and filter
-New coolant / re-cored radiator with 1 year warranty.
-New fluid in both the Transfer Case / Rear differential
-New Air intake filters / Cabin filters
-Shifter bushings replaced, old plastic replaced.
-New ignition module
-New antennae
-New engine computer module
-Full safety check on the car: Brakes, hoses, lines, pumps etc..
There are 250k miles on the body - which since 1991 amounts to well below the yearly driving average - a modest 8k commuter miles per year. As you can see in the pictures, this is a garage-kept California vehicle. There is no paint oxidization, clear coat peeling, or rust. No off-roading or towing with this car. The suspension and steering is tight and predictable. The engine pulls strong and steady with great torque (91+ gas only since engine installation), and the 4X4 works in both Hi / Lo.

This year of 4Runner has cruise control, full power windows and locks, a sunroof, and the rear windshield retracts. A Pioneer Radio with remote control has been added. The rear window opens fully - so you can have a pickup style rear - hang bikes out, give your dogs rear-window freedom, chauffeur surfboards, lumber, work materials, etc... There is also passenger controlled rear-heat.

This is a special blue on blue color combo in excellent condition! People stop and ask me the story of this car everywhere. The car looks great - but will receive a professional detailing / sanitizing before any sale - inside and out.

The "Extra Value Package" includes the outside running boards to step into the vehicle, power windows, sunroof, chrome trim, power mirrors, cruise control, cloth floor mats, and extra valve air conditioning.
