Vehicle Description
It was in good working order five years ago but a plastic piece broke on the shift linkage and I didn’t get it fixed right away so it sat for a bit.
I got the transmission linkage “fixed” but I have to admit it doesn’t seem that it’s quite perfect. It does drive and is still in pretty decent shape although it has aged paint and weathered tires. I had to have new spark plug wires, distributor, fuel pump, and fuel lines replaced.
Canvas shroud/‘tent’ has a few rips and tears.
I have not been able to utilize it to its potential so I am looking to give it a new home with someone who will have fun with it and get more out of it than I have.
I have a large three volume set of service manuals that comes with the vehicle. It has miscellaneous parts that I received from the previous owner that are still with it.
It could definitely use some TLC but could be a very good vehicle for someone who knows VW ‘s.
It is a five speed manual transmission.
And has five cylinders.
While it was at the shop several people inquired about it to see if it was for sale. Now it is! I forget the exact mileage and it is in storage at the moment so I listed it as 127,000 miles. UPDATED: 191650
