1997 Geo Metro Hatchback, incredible commuter car 40+mpg highway. 187k on odometer. Clean title. Automatic.

Old car but super reliable. Cold start perfect every time. Mechanically sound, the one hang up is that it might need a new torque converter? I've heard this is a typical problem in Geos but that's what it feels like to me. Starting gears are slow but part of that is that it's a Geo, they aren't know for their power. You'll see what I mean when you test drive it. It revs super high in starting gear but once you get up to speed (anything above 25mph) you're cruising with absolutely no issue. This makes this car a much better highway commuter than residential driving, it's annoying taking off from a stop sign super slow every time just never got around to the repair and bought a truck.

My history with the vehicle: Bought it to drive cross country but came to find the previous seller did not inform me of the torque converter issue. I didn't notice when I test drove it. Sometimes it'll fire right up and drive no problem at all, other times the starting gears take longer than they should to engage. Always runs perfect once you get it 25mph and above. I got a truck rather soon afterward so the car sat from Nov 2019-Jan 2020. Started up instantly after two months of sitting and I used it as a commuter between Olympia and Seattle from Jan-Jun 2020 and never had a single issue, never broke down. Runs amazing highway gas mileage is incredible that's why it's taken me so long to get rid of it. I don't need two vehicles and don't feel like investing any further in the vehicle, just want what I paid for it. Come take it for a test drive. Great beginners vehicle for a first time driver or frequent commuter. Will send you off with a full tank of gas. These cars are known for lasting forever.
