Vehicle Description
This was my daughters car and has had very little miles put on it since we've owned it. We are the third owner and was originally purchased in California. The car is mechanically sound. Brakes are good. Transmission shifts smoothly. All vacuum leaks have been repaired. New battery installed. All lights work inside and out. The tires are relatively new and have allot of tread left. The rear hatch and glass struts have also been replaced which are a literal pain in the a$%
There are some cosmetic issues. The previous owner attempted to re-paint the hood and bumper (I don't know why?) and to be honest it didn't go so well (please see pictures). The window tinting is a little wonky but doesn't hinder your site. I would also have the front wind shield re-gasketed. It doesn't leak but the sun over the years have done a number on it. The windshield is near perfect.
The interior is a 7 out of 10 IMHO. But hey what do you expect for a 20 year old car. The electric seats and headrest work fine. There are some pixels out on the radio (under 7 or so) hardly noticeable. This is a common problem with these older BMW's. The sun roof works and there are no leaks. Plus there are Weather Tech Mats front and rear that come with.
I would have no problem driving this car to Florida and back. It's fun to drive. It's spunky and there's allot of room in the back. Even more if you fold down the rear seats.
This car has side door and front air bags. BMW built a fast reliable fun car in the most desirable e39 series.
