179k miles, five speed stick. 4-Tech engine. Four TOTALLY new tires, new alternator, ICV, TPS sensor, rear brake lines, good battery. Brand new wiper motor and blades. Nice dry camper shell included. Towing hitch with new ball. OEM floor jack, owner’s manual.
Known defects:
-- No service light yet but EGR will need replacement in the next month or two. Idles high for 30 seconds at startup.
-- Undercarriage rust as expected for a 32 year old truck, window and door seals ok but brittle.
-- Speedometer cable noise from time to time. Not always.
-- No AC. (Not an option in 1988.) No catalytic converter. No stereo. No power anything.
-- Fan blower switch works but doesn’t shut off fully, fuse currently pulled.
-- Rear bumper needs straightening, not a lot. See photo.
-- Starter sounds sluggish, but engine always starts.
-- Paint not original.
-- Sun visors work fine but they’re worn.
All in all, a nice little truck for the money. Again: BRAND NEW TIRES at a cost of $240 plus mount and balance.
