Gorgeous Red 1954 Cadillac Series 62 convertible with matching red and white interior and a tan top. This beautiful American Dream Machine has had an extensive 4 year professional restoration just 3,400 miles ago and looks just as good as when it was done several years ago. The paint was professionally done and looks like a new car. The body lines and panel fitment are tight and fit like new.
Most of the chrome was redone including the bumpers grill and side trim. The rest for the chrome and stainless was already in great condition. The interior was also redone with new seat covers, door panels and carpet. The dash and instrument cluster are original and in great shape which is a testimony to the car. The top was also replaced and functions flawlessly and has brand new power top cylinders. The 331 cubic inch engine and 4 speed Hydra-matic automatic transmission was rebuilt at the time of the restoration and has barely been broken in with only 3400 miles on the rebuild. Nicely optioned with power steering and power brakes. After completion this piece of automotive history was sold to the President of the Louisiana Cadillac LaSalle Club. Stored in a climate control garage and driven to events and cars shows. The Caddillac is in great structural and mechanical condition. Recent maintenance and improvements include fresh mechanical tune up, new dual exhaust installed, freshly rebuilt carburetor, all new fuel lines, new fuel pump, complete radiator service, generator was rebuilt, brand new brake cylinders and new rear brake lines, new spark plugs and spark plug wires, grease packed front wheel bearings, fuel tank was also cleaned and serviced. The coolant, brake fluid, oil and oil filter changed.
All this was done within the last 100 miles. This incredible machine is rolling on newer set of Cadillac Eldorado Chrome spoke wheels and wide whites.

: Super solid and intact with clean metal and excellent structureThe Series 62 included lower sleeker body, a new cellular grille insert and inverted gull wing front bumpers and tapered dagmar style bumper guards. Round jet style dual exhaust outlets were incorporated into the vertical bumper extensions and the rear bumper was intirely redesigned. An Eldorado style wraparound windshield was seen on all models. A wide ventilator intake was now stretched across the base of the winshield on all body style and the chrome visored headlamp look was emphasized. Automatic windshield washers, power steering, 12-Volt electrical system, and aluminum alloy pistons made the long list of standard equipment for the first time this year. Power steering, power windows, power seats, and headlight dimming were optional. A parking brak release reminder light was new. Popular Mechaics rated to 0-60 mph time as 17.3 seconds.American Dream Machines
