This sleek Rosso Corsa red was made to grab attention with a more modern shine that makes a great first impression. And then when the profile comes into view, the side trim is used for a dividing line for the matte silver. The glossy red and flat sliver as such opposites, and yet work in harmony across the body. So the look is absolutely awesome. It also helps that this was all part of a full frame-off restoration. There's even a full photo book to document this car's journey back from bare metal. This kind of work is understandable on a '57 Ford. This was the debut of the tailfin, and this was the only year for the single headlight design with the restyled body. It's a unique appearance gave these two-doors daring lines. The custom full-width grille, 1958-style hood scoop trim, mirror-like wraparound chrome bumpers, jet-inspire taillight trim, and Cragar SS wheels are all part of the nicely-done shining package that makes this both vintage and sporty.
The two-tone gray interior is a nice mix of vintage style and new components. For example, you have two wide classic bench seats to fit plenty of family and friends. You can tell these are far fresher than stock, and they have comfy velour inserts for where you sit. The door panels, dash, carpeting and headliner all coordinate, and they were all part of the freshness that comes from a solid restoration investment. You have classic elements like the horizon-like speedometer. But what you'll really like are the well-integrated upgrades. For example, the radio looks like the factory AM unit, but it's really an AM/FM radio with handy Bluetooth. There's cold-blowing air conditioning for comfort. Plus, the sports steering wheel, tall floor shifter, horizontal tach, and a full set of digital auxiliary readouts tell your senses that there's something good under in the engine bay.
The forward-tilting hood gives you a clear view to all the big block power. This is an ultra-tidy 460 cubic-inch V8 that was rebuilt to include new pieces, including starter, alternator, distributor, and all the other right fundamentals - even an aluminum radiator. The big V8 inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. And it exhales with added power and authority as headers feed the X-pipe dual exhaust. So it's a stout package that runs strong. The undercarriage photos show you the newer component that come on a frame-off restoration, and so everything from the new suspension pieces to the body mounts give this a solid and confident feeling on the road. The C6 three-speed transmission was built stout to handle big power and torque while delivering easy automatic shifting. Plus, power steering, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich tires give this a nice driving experience.
