1965 Mustang ‘GT’ Rangoon Red Convertible that is restored with very, very high superior standards both cosmetically and mechanically, built from a ‘C’ Code 289cid/2v original production, now set up today for a very top Driven Show presentation with the GT front lights and the rear aluminized GT exhaust, really a striking look with the luggage rack and 1965 styled steel wheels with the whitewall radials, a simply excellent fresh engine with a crisp ‘sound’, here is a correct ‘J’ factory color of Rangoon Red as shown by the data tag, has just terrific great side straight sheet metal with the expert body work, these panels make the Red gorgeous paint stand out with great luster, it is so well applied…just gorgeous with the White power top…the great chrome bumpers, trim pieces and with the lower stainless rockers that all lead to a great body presentation that is simply a very amazing appearance! has the new Black standard bucket seated interior with the new expensive repro wood GT steering wheel, has four black safety belts, now with the new modern black hump hugger console just installed, new black carpet and Mustang show floor mats, see the build specs from the Data Tag, this restored Mustang came from a long time collector who put great effort in this show car with seldom use after the build, it has a very strong, re-built 289cid, 2v Autolite 2100 carb with correct air induction system, a just excellent engine compression now just checked at Fraser Dante with a dry-cold reading of 140-148 lbs. across, has the highly show detailed engine bay, engine Cobra kit, has the factory 4-speed transmission with an uprated Hurst shifter that works perfectly, the GT dual aluminized exhaust system exiting the GT rear lower valence ads to the looks and performance, this has the important great original factory ‘pinch’ welds on the lower body side valences that have the black slight overspray ‘as factory’, has a just an outstanding detailed black very solid underchassis that is in driven show condition, the full lighting system checked, the factory drum braking system is checked in the Fraser Dante shop for excellent stopping, has the expensive ‘Carlite’ tinted front windshield, has the interior ‘day/night mirror, note the photos just taken of the lower chassis and the side show quality rocker panels, it is very hard to find such a very desirable top quality Mustang convertible like this Classic Restored 1965 Mustang Convertible that is highly desired as it is well painted in the great 1965 Mustang factory Rangoon Red (J) color with a really just amazing luster, the top mechanicals are fresh from the Fraser Dante shop for Spring 2021, see for further information and full inventory
