Used 1977 Lincoln Mark V for sale in Volo, IL
Vehicle Description
EXTERIOR: I'll quote the original owner: "absolutely no paint work ever". Rust free, damage free body. The 18 foot long sides don't even have a door ding. The black paint presents itself like a show car, it's glossy. If you look close there will be a few minor imperfections. It's one of the best survivor paints I've seen. The original dealer's tag is still on the trunk. The factory pinstripe isn't even rubbed off. The jambs are extra clean. Part of the Rose Luxury package is the Rose colored side moldings. All the trim, moldings and chrome are excellent. It also has the padded Rose landau top, it's like new looking. The fillers between the bumper and body are typically cracked, these are mint. The rub strips on the bumpers are not nicked. and padded top. The glass is crystal clear. The original Michelin tires are still on the car. The luxury hubcaps are mint.
INTERIOR: A living room on wheels. The leather comfort lounge seats are amazing. Rare rose-red colors are great against the black. It is practically still new inside. The dash area, lenses, trim, knobs are excellent. The plush carpets look new. Never smoked in, the lighters and ashtrays are clean. The back seat was rarely used, the sestbelt is still in the factory plastic. From rug to roof it is mint.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This one has the optional big 460 motor with a 4 barrel carb. It is very original and still looks good. The stickers and factory paint markings are still in tact. The light works. It is 100% complete- the hoses, duct work, pollution pump are all hooked up. The carb was rebuilt, water pump and battery were replaced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I feel like I'm the 1st person who ever opened the trunk, it is brand new inside. The power trunk release and the trunk light works. The paint under the trunk lid and the jamb are pristine. It still has the paint stamps too. The latch assembly looks brand new. The weather strip is still soft. The gray carpet liner is mint, there's no stains. No mouse nests, no smells. The collapsible spare and the jack have never been out of the carpeted covers.
UNDERSIDE: It is very well preserved original. The dealer undercoated the floors when it was new. The assembly line paint markings are still showing throughout. The tags are still on the springs. It even has the original exhaust in real good shape, Ford script is right on the muffler. There are disc brakes at all 4 wheels. The trans is is the C-6 automatic.
I've sold similar Cadillacs and Lincolns with low miles, one had 250 actual miles. This car is nicer than most of them. They will never make land yachts like this again.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
*These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
