Offered for sale by K2 Motorcars is this rare, one-owner, extremely low mileage 1992 Porsche 911 America Roadster finished in Guards Red over Black Partial Leather. This car is accompanied by the Original Window Sticker, Copy of Porsche Certificate of Origin, Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, and very well documented service history dating back to 1992.
This America Roadster is finished in the timeless color combination of Guards Red over Black partial leather and has wear consistent for its 29,853 original miles. The black soft top and plastic rear window are both in great condition, and the leather interior has only minor creases from use. It is fitted with the desirable heavily bolstered sport seats and has a five-speed manual transmission. Included in the sale are the tool kit, spare tire, the owners manual, maintenance and service booklet (with stamps), and the warranty booklet all in their Porsche pouch as well as tons of service records.
The American Roadster is essentially a turbo-bodied Carrera Cabriolet with Turbo suspension and brakes. Like the 356 America Roadster it was named after, the Type 964 America Roadster was a limited-edition, driver-focused convertible destined for the American market. Production for the America Roadster was limited at only 250 examples, and the model was only produced in 1992 and 1993. Its engine was a standard unit making 250 horsepower, but the special edition had the wide fender flares, suspension, brakes, and 17-inch Porsche Cup wheels of the 911 Turbo. The small rear seats were replaced with a parcel shelf with storage compartments underneath, adding to the sporting nature of the car. The wide Turbo-style body and lack of a rear spoiler gave the America Roadster an aggressive but sleek look. This America Roadster has all original paint with paint meter readings available upon request as well as an excellent interior with showing minimal wear.
This Guards Red America Roadster was delivered to its first and only owner by Pegasus Motorcars in Charlottesville, AV. The car spent most of its life in Texas and in CA before coming in for sale here in Jupiter, FL.
