This 2005 model represents a pivotal year in SSR's short run. The V8 was upgraded to the 6.0-liter LS2 unit. This fuel-injected powerhouse offered a healthy boost in power to 390 hp, and this is the numbers-matching unit. The four-speed automatic transmission was built to handle this motor, so it's the ideal balance of quick kick-downs into power and easy shifts into overdrive cruising. They even built these like a sports car with tubular control arms on the rear suspension, sway bars front & rear, and four-wheel power disc brakes w/ABS.
