Vehicle Description
Pros:
The van runs and drives great! The engine is strong with a smooth shifting transmission. I've owned this van for several years and it's been outstanding! Especially in the winter with the All-Wheel-Drive system. I'm an owner operator and I've primarily used this van to support my semi having the back seats out most of the time. It's been a great alternative to a pickup truck because tools, parts and stuff stay out of the weather and there's tons of room to shuttle big stuff around. I've equipped it with premium aftermarket aluminum alloy wheels rolling on slightly oversize Goodyear Assurance 235/70R16 rubber cross drilled performance brakes. Since owning the van I've maintained the engine with Mobil High Mileage Synthetic Blend 5w30 and Purolator Premium oil filters. I've installed premium spark plug cables along with platinum spark plugs and a purolator air filter. It has a new NGK/NTK oil pressure sensor more recently a new Gates water pump and Gates thermostat. The roof is equipped with a Yakima Extended Loadwarrior Rooftop Basket sitting on a triple rail roof rack. Great for hauling oversize stuff on top! The back windows are factory tinted and I installed some cheap black plastic curtains so my tools and stuff couldn't be seen. The van is also equipped with a locking gas cap. I have aftermarket premium black housing headlights mounted with High Intensity LED bulbs. I'm including the old OEM silver headlamps. Also the OEM fog lights were getting kinda crusty so I got brand new fog light housings too. For sound I've installed a Pioneer detachable Bluetooth stereo with visor mounted boom mic for hands free calling.
Cons:
The van has been a great utilitarian vehicle especially for North Dakota but with 211k miles there are some things that need some attention. Previous owner decided to secure passenger side front bumper with wood screws. Was going to fix this but never got around to it. There are some small spots of rust towards the bottom rockers and doors but it's superficial. Drivers seat recline lever has come off its sprocket but bottom slide seat is still functional. AC works good but has a slow leak. I fill it with one 12oz can of freon in the spring and it works great all summer. Power windows stopped working last year. A good smack on the door would get them going again pointing to the power window motor brushes. They get stuck overtime. Cleaning/regreasing them would fix this but honestly with new PW motor regulators going for $28 that'd be the way I'd go.
