Used Hot John Cooper Works Mini for sale in Somerville, MA

2010 top of the line John Cooper Works Mini. It's name is Lovejoy. No check engine lights or problems of any kind. Dark silver with two black stripes on the hood. The run-flat tires which gave an awful ride have been replaced with four new ones that have the highest speed rating you can get for a car. At 50,000 miles Lovejoy got a new engine. That was way before I got him. Last year Lovejoy got a new clutch and a new windshield and a new air conditioning compressor and a new brain. When I bought him from my friend I knew that it had a clutch issue but I expected it to last longer without needing repairs than it did. That is because I only put three or four thousand miles a year on a car. The windshield was replaced last year because insurance covered it when a truck in front of me on the highway through up a pebble which took out a tiny chip. It was not really necessary but I still wanted it done. The new AC compressor was because it was one of the spare parts included with my purchase of the car and they had access to it when they were working on the brain. Brain needed replacement because after years of people driving a 10-year-old car the drains in the sunroof got plugged up with leaves and crap. During a real heavy rain water leaked into the car on the passenger side floor where the brain is located and it shorted it out so it had to be replaced. My mechanic also has a full machine shop and body shop on the premises so it was easy for them to just put my car in the oven room where they bake paint on and dry it out completely and quickly with no damage. I have only fed Lovejoy top quality brand name high test gasoline and top of the line oil. He's capable of at least 140 miles an hour. I had him up to 100 once and there was still half of the gas pedal travel left. That was fast enough for me. He felt incredibly stable and happy at that speed. Lovejoy comes with a bunch of spare parts. A couple of tires, a new air conditioning condenser, some brakes and a cell phone mount. On the hood is a $500 solid carbon fiber hood scoop. Inside this little mats in the cup holders and WeatherTech mat. He has a high efficiency air cleaner designed for performance. No upholstery damage or rips or tears. Motorized folding side mirrors. Cruise control. AC blows cold and heat is hot. Refrigerated glove box. The panorama double sunroof heated front seats and I'm sure there's more that I can't think of right now. I am going to miss him once he is rehomed but I am too old for a hot rod. I only acquired him because a great friend sold him to me after he inherited it at the same time my truck died. I was really in a jam for a vehicle due to circumstances in my life and I was already familiar with it and how good it was because I had been a passenger in it many times, so I bought it. When you drive a mini other Mini drivers wave at you! So easy to park him in small parking spaces too. I only put three or four thousand miles a year on a car and I have the safest rating that the state insurance board gives out for drivers and I have had it for decades so even though it has a secret button to give it a lot of extra performance and make the exhaust sound louder I only used it when I got stuck in the wrong lane and had to leave the traffic behind in order to go where I needed to. The point being that I didn't abuse him or drive around sticking my foot in it all the time. I very rarely accelerated to anywhere near it's capability. It also makes it very easy to merge onto highways. The John Cooper Works is the top of the line highest performance model of Mini and when it was new it was around $40,000. It is made by BMW. It is off the road so you need to bring a plate or we can try it in a big parking lot across the street. You can also bring your own mechanic to check him out. You need to be able to competently drive a standard transmission. He is very torqy off the line so he will leave most cars in the dust watching your tail lights It is turbo powered.
