Rescued from 30+ years garage storage, this is an excellent candidate for restoration or parts to support a restoration. This car is complete and has the desirable manual trans with overdrive and features a 4.2 liter Mk X engine. The engine is stuck from sitting, so will need work. A valuable triple SU HD8 carb setup is available for $1700 additional (restored worth up to $6000) The body appears to have only surface rust but has been repainted, so magnet inspection is advised. The interior leather is stiff but may respond to rejuvenation efforts. The woodwork is marginal, with the dash top needing full restoration. Chrome is cloudy on the bumpers but otherwise ok. The centerpiece for the grill is in the trunk in these photos. All glass is in good condition. I do have a beautifully restored dash top for $900 separate purchase.
Jag engines and trans are quite heavy on a light chassis, so this car could be interesting with a small block conversion. The stock engine is rated at 220 HP.
The car will be sold with a bill of sale as the assignable registration was lost years ago and the previous owner has passed. I can describe how to get a good title. Asking $4000 for the car with carbs or $2800 for the car without the 3 carb setup
