Used Jaguar XJ6 L - 55k mile CA car - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... for sale in Northville, MI

Those of you who know Jag's know how rare this car is. Try to find another. "X300" era XJ6, British Racing Green, Tan leather interior, factory Long Wheel Base option. And if you find one of those...find one 55k miles on it. And if you find one of those...find one that is rust free. Basically you can be sure this is the only vehicle of this combination you will ever see. One of very few XJ6 "L"s in North America, the car has 6 inches of extra room in the back seats, as well as a higher roof for more comfortable seating. When you see the car's history it is not that surprising that this is how the car was optioned, it was owned by the Debartolo family and spent time at several of their properties in CA, FL, and OH. Originally purchased by Candy Debartolo in CA after she filmed for the movie "Dream of an Insomniac". I know this because the previous owners told me this, but also because Candy wrote all of her information in the Jaguar "Passport to Service" which is in the glove box. A CarFax history report reflects this too.

I purchased the car in northern MI from a modest family who got the car from their son who worked for the Debartolo's. The vehicle's door locks and sunroof were no longer working, and the car had developed a parasitic drain that was killing the battery. I have since fixed all of these issues (properly, no wiring hodge-podgery). Car starts every-single time. It has been fun to own, and the car gets a lot of attention, but it's time for me to move on, winter is coming and I have no garage space for it.

The car is so clean we even used it as a chauffeur car for a friend’s wedding. It's like getting into a "new" Jag in the 90's. The car got constant compliments. Yes I know the photos in the ad are sporadic but they are from many different cameras at many different times, I promise it is all the same car.

Every door and the rear trunk lid has the original Jag VIN tags.

-New Michelin tires
-New front Bilstein shocks
-Matching color respray (previous paint was peeling due to sun exposure)
-New spark plugs and coil packs
-New valve cover gasket
-New thermostat, upper radiator hose, and coolant
-New serpentine belts and idler
-New fuel filter
-New transmission fluid
-New injector O-rings
-New engine oil (5w40 Full Synthetic)

Modifications:
-Swapped black plastic grill inserts for chrome (originals included)
-Aftermarket head unit (an original faulty Jag unit will be included), but YES, the power antenna still works great! 90’s nostalgia.
-All the speakers have been swapped out for Hertz brand speakers
-I swapped the ugly original leather shifter knob for a nice (but cracked) wooden one, original will be included

Issues:
-The passenger front seat power headrest doesn’t appear to operate, didn’t notice this until I had a passenger
-The rear right door power latch appears to be lazy and doesn’t always latch all the way, I will be including a spare used door latch mechanism that I didn’t have time to swap in
-The repaint looks AWESOME, but it is not show quality, and if you look around you will find some overspray
-A gorilla changed the speaker in the front left door and damaged some of the door panel push pins, panel still stays on okay
-I have TWO original key fobs, but I think the second has a dead battery
-The driver’s seat leather has a tiny tear that is usually covered by the seatbelt, it’s a strange spot and you don’t even notice it (other than that the seats are in fantastic shape, see photos)
-The power steering column telescopes properly but does not go up and down, I made no attempt to fix this, it could be simple
