Used Lexus GX 470 BUYER BEWARE 5000 REPAIR NEEDED - - by for sale in New Bedford, MA

I approched 508 Sport & Luxury in early April with interest in this Lexus GX470. I took it for a ride and noticed the KDSS dash light was on. The dealer did not hesitate to tell me that he would get it fixed and that it was not an issue. Note - I am a mechanic.
After the test drive I did some quick research on the KDSS (kinetic-dynamic suspension system). It is a closed hydraulic suspension system that takes the place of sway bars to control body roll while taking turns at speed. Driving without this system could be dangerous as it is essentially driving without sway bars which increases body roll that could result in a roll-over.
In my research i found that the KDSS dash light could indicate a leak in the system. Naturally, I slid under the car to examine the rustiest part of the undercarriage, the KDSS accumulator valve assembly, pictured in the photos i attached. I noticed a wet spot on the neck of the rear end accumulator. I felt around and noticed a red fluid on my finger. Hydraulic fluid (which is what the KDSS system uses) is often dyed red. This confirms my suspicion of a leak in the system coming from the VERY rusty accumulator valve assembly. The cost to replace this part is well over $3,000 and the part is ONLY available from Lexus, if they'll even sell it to you, good luck.
Anyway after TWO WEEKS i finally got a call that the GX is repaired and ready for me to purchase. I showed up knowing there is no way they could have fixed it properly, considering the bill for them to repair would be over $5k. I looked under the car and saw that everything was exactly the same as before, same rusted to hell valve assembly, didnt even clean any rust. I knew something scummy was going on so I take a close look at the dash and notice a small crack in the glass in front of the gages. I instantly knew that they had gone behind the glass and shut off the KDSS light manually. Upon closer inspection i see what i had been thinking in the back of my mind for those 2 weeks. They "fixed" the KDSS dash light by putting a piece of black tape over the light and calling it fixed.
THEY PUT A PIECE OF TAPE OVER A WARNING LIGHT AND CALLED IT FIXED.
This clown continued to tell me it was an "electrical connection issue" even after all this mess. If it was such a simple issue, fix it.
Dont buy anything from these greaseballs.
i will also be notifying the better business bureau, the state, yelp, everyone that want to hear. Con artists like the rest of em.
