(Update: This is now a MECHANIC'S SPECIAL. The power steering pump needs to be replaced, she's leaking oil, and she needs a new hood. I forgot to latch the hood after checking the oil and it flew up into the windshield, damaging the hood but not the windshield. I guess that is a blessing. Anyway, I don't know how to fix cars and she needs an owner who does. She runs GREAT. $2,000 OR BEST OFFER. MUST GO NOW!!! I paid my friend $1,500 for it and am now into it for over $4,000. Go easy on me, please...)

I bought this car from a friend who owned ACE TRANSPORTATION INC. He left the country to be close to family due to Covid. She has a ton of miles, but he had the engine, transmission, and the front and rear ends replaced somewhere between 250,000 and 300,000 miles. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT.

He had a police cruiser Crown Victoria engine put in so she has A LOT more power than a regular Town Car. All of the work was done at Crossroads Truck Dismantling in Mira Loma. The engine and transmission run great. The car idles and shifts smooth, and rides like you’re on a cloud of air, even after 15 years. She passed smog with flying colors in July of 2020.

The Town Car is a unique car with some unique features. The rear doors open almost perpendicular to the body of the car, giving an extra wide access to the back seats. The front passenger seat can be moved all the way up to the dash, giving the rear right passenger a tremendous amount of leg room. The front passenger seat can be controlled from the back seat center console. This car would be perfect for someone with passengers who need extra leg room due to disability or just for added comfort.

She was used as a limousine for most of her first life, driving back and forth from the desert to Los Angeles and San Diego. Most of the miles are highway miles and she was taken care of very well due to her being in service as a limo. The seats are a little worn but not torn, there are no cracks in the vinyl, and the carpet looks almost new.

I have done a lot of work on her (new window tint, new battery, new water pump, new radiator, new fuel pump, and new a/c compressor - she blows ice cold!). She only needs a few more things to be perfect for her second life, but I have run out of funds and I own another car. The rest is up to you.

Tires have plenty of tread and she has a full-sized spare with an alloy wheel, as well as a mini-spare. There are no fluid leaks or burns. Craigslist has a limit of 24 pictures per ad. Please let me know if you'd like to see something in particular.

Minor Cosmetic Issues
The latches on the driver and front passenger arm rest storage have broken, and the light bulb is out on one of the rear vanity mirrors (another cool feature). Everything else inside works.

There are some water spots on the passenger side.

There are 3-5 small scratches and dings; normal for a 15 year old car. No major dents or panel damage. Overall the exterior condition is great (not quite excellent).

Washer Fluid Reservoir needs to be replaced, but still works. It has a hole in the top but still holds fluid. $40 part.

The keyless entry is not working on the driver side door so it must be locked with the key. All doors respond to the key. The keyless entry still works to arm and disarm the alarm and to open and close the power trunk.

Suspension Air Compressor: this car has an air-filled suspension, which is why she feels like she's riding on a cloud of air. The compressor has been coming on more frequently than before, indicating either a leak in the line ($100 repair), or she needs a new compressor ($200 repair).

Air Bag Clock Spring: the airbag light is on. My friend told me that it started coming on when he replaced the factory stereo with the Pioneer stereo that is in her now. Just to be sure, I had Fiesta Ford do a full inspection on the air bag system and they confirmed that the air bags are all fine, but the clock spring is throwing an air bag code.

I watched some videos on YouTube to find out what a clock spring is, and I found out that if there is a loss of signal from any of the steering wheel controls (stereo or cruise control), the car can throw a clock spring code and the air bag light will come on. The steering wheel controls for the stereo have been disconnected and are throwing the code. Cruise control works fine.

Fiesta Ford quoted me $500 for the repair, and my mechanic said he could do it for $300. But, he said replacing the clock spring may not stop the air bag light from coming on. He said I may have to find a working factory stereo to get the steering wheel controls working and the light to go off. Ebay would be the place to start...
