Rare 2004 645ci V8 convertible with 6sp manual and Sport Package- REDUCED!!

I don't have production numbers but they were low; when I bought this car to replace my wife's tired E30 convertible, I couldn't find another one for sale in the US. Just before posting this I searched and found only one other.

The 6sp manual (no SMG here) is rare itself as is the Sport Package (Sport Seats, Sports Suspension, Active Steering, 19" rims with run-flats). But the two together are apparently extremely unusual and turn what is typically a cruiser into a much more capable GT with well over 300hp.

This 149k triple black car also has the improved DVD GPS navigation and the rain sensing wipers (really expensive option at the time!). Pretty much fully loaded except no cold weather package.

Paintwork is original and decent except the rear bumper is showing a little crazing.

This was a heavily serviced car that got traded in on a new one when it finally needed a clutch. I replaced the entire clutch assembly with all new BMW parts including a new (not rebuilt) dual mass flywheel. Flywheel alone is over $2000 and BMW charges up to $5000 for this repair.

I also proactively repaired the prone to leak coolant pipe under the intake manifold with the permanent insertion fix and replaced the water pump while I was in there. BMW will quote you around $8000 to replace the coolant pipe gasket alone; the repair and modification I did avoids that in the future. You should check any BMW V8 you are considering for this potentially pricey flaw.

The AC compressor was making noise so that's now all new (again with new not rebuilt) and recharged BMW parts. While I was at it, I also proactively changed the electronic heater valve that will sometimes send heat to one side of the car despite the thermostat calling for AC. This is around a $3000 repair if done by BMW.

When you look at book prices on these cars, those values (correctly) assume that the average 645 is going to need one or more of these repairs and takes those costs into account. That's all done here.

Top is properly adjusted and works flawlessly.

In short, I've attended to all the car's needs and proactively attended to known 645i problem areas.

Everything works 100% except for weak FM reception (which may be an antenna amp or just inherent to the hidden antenna design). The car has professionally installed Sirius satellite radio (as well as a cd player and changer) so I never bothered investigating further. I also have an uninstalled iPhone kit if you wanted to replace the Sirius with it.

I disliked the (rare and expensive) 19" Sport rims and run-flats so I bought aftermarket winter (18") rims with high performance snow/ice tires and matching summer (19") lightweight rims with fresh high end "max performance summer" rubber (275/35R19 W100 on the summer tires). The decrease in unsprung weight and increase in traction was significant.

My reason for selling? With all the torque my wife found it to be a little more than she wanted to deal with in her Washington DC commute and we lucked on another really nice low miles E30 convertible for her (her third one).

Reduced to $9500! with all of the work that the majority of these cars would need (and which the book value takes into account) ALREADY DONE along with the pricey new rims/tires. I have a LOT more invested in the car than the asking price

Even though I don't need to sell it (currently driving it myself so mileage will tend to increase some), I would like to see it go to a good home where it would be appreciated. So while the price is fairly firm, serious cash offers will be considered.
