This is the REAL overseas version Smart Car. This is why it gets 10 more miles/gallon than the US version. It has a 700cc, Turbo, 3 cylinder, Mercedes engine in it. It has airbags and other modifications done to it in order to meet US car standards. This car should have a lot of life left in it yet. I have all maintenance records have taken care of it really well. It still looks like new inside and out! The body is primarily fiberglass and will not rust out. Everything works on it. It comes with a spare tire. This was not standard equipment for the Smart Car. I purchased it and put it behind the passenger seat. There is still plenty of room for a passenger.

The US version Smart Car has a 1000cc Non-Turbo engine in it. It is not a Mercedes engine. They say it only gets 38MPG on the highway.
