Used SOLD) Ford 2008 E-350 For Sale for sale in Kennewick, WA

SOLD : Thanks ya'll for all the interest in this van, I sold it to some folks that want to turn it into a rolling planter. I'm not sure what that looks like, but my imagination has it filled with dirt and flowers with the top cut off to let light in. A fitting end for such a glorious and storied vehicle.

This van has been my daily driver for about three years now. After a couple of cross country road trips, an extended stay on the Playa at Burning Man, and probably way too many rough dirt backroads, the front end alignment has gotten out of whack and is killing the inner tread on the front tires along with a bit of a wobble in the steering wheel at high speed.

I figured it was just an alignment issue so I took it to a couple of different mechanics for quotes, and the consensus was that the front end needs a lot of work. ball joints, shocks, alignment, brakes etc. all of which would cost about what the van is worth on paper to get done professionally. It'd probably be more affordable to do it yourself, but I'm a half-ass mechanic at best and don't dabble much beyond changing the oil and typical maintenance stuff like that - so I just bought a new van, and now I need to get rid of this one. I thought about just driving it into a lake, hiding it under a big pile of leaves somewhere, or something like that. but figured I should try selling it first.

Previous owner was the prison in McAlister Oklahoma, they used it as a prisoner transport so there are some bench seats in the back on either side. not real comfortable to sleep on, but I put a 4x8 piece of plywood across them and slapped a mattress in there when I was travelling and I'll be damned if it wasn't at least as good as a Super 8 motel in a real bad neighborhood. If that sounds like a fun weekend to you, then read on my friend.

This thing aint pretty, just your standard white-ass cargo van. its been through some nasty hailstorms and has bumped into (at least) one pole in a WalMart parking lot giving the front bumper a bit of a sneer. but it runs pretty well, doesn't leak oil and and the ac / heat and radio all work. While you won't impress anyone at a stop light, it's got more square footage than a lot of studio apartments in San Francisco and is heavy enough that it doesn't rock too much if consenting adults engage in any sort of energetic activities within.

This would be a good project car for someone who is mechanically inclined and wants a van that they can turn into a stealth camper, or maybe a work van that they aren't worried about getting scratched up or dented (I already did that for ya!).

"Are there any extra amenities?", you ask? Heck yeah this thing has manatees! its got a WalMart special subwoofer, some tweeters I found in a bargain bin somewhere, a touch screen radio, and a backup camera I picked up on eBay. All the windows other than the front are tinted dark as hell, so it's dark in the day and aggravating if you're trying to drive at night. My wife also pulled a third seat from a wrecked conversion van in a junkyard somewhere in Colorado, and we installed that behind the driver seat so that there was a place to put a car seat for the wee one. I was OK with just lettin the babby roll around in the back and have fun, but laws are laws ya know and it's no longer the wild west when it comes to child rearing.

Heck, I'll throw in the baby seat if you think you have a use for it. Its barely been peed on (and never by the baby). If you don't have a baby, it holds a 12 pack of pretty much any beverage real secure if you cinch down the belts good. Kinda like a cooler but without the temperature insulating effect. Only down side really is that you can't reach it from the drivers seat if you have it mounted in the rear.

Anyway I'm askin 1000 bucks as-is for this rolling deathtrap / party barge / work van since I figure it needs about 2,500 bucks worth of work done before it's ready for long road trips again, but if you just wanna drive around town and don't mind running around on half-bald front tires it'll probably work fine for you as is. I ain't judgin. you do you boo.

I'm willing to negotiate on the price if $1,000 bucks seems unreasonable to you for a vehicle with this sort of exotic pedigree, but I figure just stripping it for parts might bring that much I'm just too lazy to do it.
