Vehicle Description
The GOOD:
New engine internals with all OEM German parts + heads, oil pump, fuel pump, alternator, distributor and coil. New ac compressor, hoses, dryer and charge.
New silicone hose kit for the cooling system, rebuild cooling fan with new bearings.
Recently the transmission was replaced (less than 200 miles ago) with a rebuilt one from Rancho Preformance Transaxles, 4 speed manual, new clutch.
New transmission shift linkage kit
New breaks, new upper ball joints and new cv boots.
Upgraded high lumen headlight bulb kit
New propane tank and fittings
New water tank pump
New Michelin Defender tires with new spare 205/65R 15 on Go Westy rims
Tent canvas in excellent condition
Over 16K in recent receipts and less than 2k miles since work was professionally done
The Bad:
Door panels are there but need some love
Radio / speakers old
Missing the tables
Rear bumper is crunched
Rear taillights cracked, need new lenses
electric front windows work but move slooowly
Fridge has some stains on the interior
Some interior trim is wavy from sitting in the sun (I bought this bus in Arizona)
Paint is in ok condition
The throttle body unit was not rebuilt with the rebuild, my non professional opinion is maybe it should be
The Ugly
Nothing really ugly however there is more cosmetic and aesthetic work to be done in my opinion. It will be really nice if someone puts that remaining effort in. I can't do anymore, I wasn't expecting to have to do all this work to it when I bought it. Fortunately whomever gets it will have a bus with most of the major mechanical issues addressed and should have years and years of trouble free use.
The bus is currently parked at my office in Mountain View.
